The Degmeda Physically Based Rendering (PBR) material collection delivers a set of 27 high-quality PBR texture files created by NORDSKETCH™ to replicate the natural beauty and character of real-world wood surfaces. Each material is carefully developed to ensure accurate representation of color variation, grain structure, and surface roughness reflecting the quality and style of Degmeda’s signature charred wood portfolio.

For architects, designers, and visualization studios, these digital materials provide a precise and efficient way to showcase wooden products in photorealistic environments enabling consistent brand presentation, faster iteration cycles, and sustainable production practices by reducing the need for physical sampling and photography.

Larch

Larch is a naturally durable softwood with a rich, pronounced grain—an excellent match for the traditional Shou Sugi Ban (Yakisugi) technique. The charring process boosts resistance to moisture, insects and decay while revealing a striking, textured surface. Our charred larch boards are made for exterior cladding, fencing and architectural features where strength meets natural warmth. Available in a variety of finishes, each board highlights the unique character of this time-tested wood.

Spruce

Spruce is lightweight and fine-grained with plenty of character, Spruce takes the Yakisugi (Shou Sugi Ban) treatment beautifully. Our charred Spruce boards deliver a refined texture and soft tonal variations, making them a strong choice for interiors and sheltered outdoor spots. Perfect for interior cladding, feature walls, and delicate exterior uses, they’re available in finishes designed to complement contemporary and minimalist schemes.
